I am travelling internationally, how do I submit a Steripen warranty claim?
We love working with your internationally traveling customers and want to ensure that you have a working Steripen. My Steripen isn't working, can I get it repaired or warranted?
We want to ensure that you have a working Steripen. Our dedicated customer service team is happy to work with you to troubleshoot, diagnose, and if need be, warranty your Steripen. Can I take my Steripen through airport security?
More than likely yes, you can take a Steripen through airport security. We recommend keeping your lithium batteries in the Steripen or in the original, unopened battery package. We advise that you double-check with the FAA or your local airport.
What will the Steripen treat?
Viruses, bacteria, and protozoan, including Cholera, Crypto Sporidium, and Giardia. While we don’t have a comprehensive list, we have been certified by the EPA as a water purifier.
How does the Steripen UV lamp work?
The UVC light that emanates from the Steripen Lamp creates a thymine dimmer in any microbe’s DNA that could be present in water. This in effect removes ability of any microbes present in water to reproduce and makes the microbes harmless and safe for human consumption.
